Preface

This is a Quarto book that I’ve written as a resource and textbook for my students taking DPR 201 at Denison University. Since it’s a Quarto book, it’s free, and I’ll make sure it always is.

By the way, my name is Miles Williams, and I’m a Visiting Assistant Professor of Data for Political Research at Denison University. I have the privilege of teaching some super undergraduates the ins and outs of data visualization, data modeling, and research design, all the while filling in the gaps with substantive learning about the issues political scientists wrestle with on a regular basis. It’s a fun gig.
